Why would a comfortably retired pharmacist run to be a state senator? Quite simply, I do not see anyone doing anything quickly or effectively to reverse the negative effects of corruption in our constitutional republic.
Over the last several weeks, I’ve been asked this question, ” Why step into the political arena as a state senator? “The answer is straightforward—I see a pressing need to address and reverse the effects of corruption eroding the foundations of our constitutional republic. No one seems to be acting with the urgency or effectiveness required.
Take, for example, the federal government’s decision to fund, with our tax dollars, a carbon capture pipeline under the guise of combating global warming. This decision is based on the belief that excessive carbon dioxide harms our environment. However, evidence suggests that this “solution” may not be necessary.
Look at the Real Facts!
Consider this: A study by the Department of Transportation found that carbon dioxide levels 1,000 feet away from busy Iowa highways showed no significant difference from expected levels, debunking the myth that CO2 from vehicles is significantly harming our atmosphere. In fact, CO2, being heavier than air, tends to stay near the ground, potentially aiding plant growth near these highways rather than mixing extensively with the upper atmosphere.
This revelation calls into question the need for taxpayer-funded carbon sequestration projects. Our funds could be more effectively allocated, such as enhancing border security to manage immigration more efficiently.
Moreover, the push for this carbon pipeline project involves private companies leveraging billions in tax dollars for an unnecessary endeavor, encroaching on private property rights through eminent domain—a clear overreach.
Our government’s current trajectory is unsustainable. With the right leadership, we can restore proper oversight and accountability. I am committed to being part of that change.
